Keith Herbert founded McKee Commercial in 2013 with a vision of creating a commercial real estate firm dedicated exclusively to serving property owners. His goal was to combine the responsiveness and accountability of a boutique firm with the expertise typically associated with larger commercial real estate organizations.

With more than two decades of commercial real estate experience, Keith has participated in thousands of lease transactions and advised owners on property management, leasing strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, and asset performance throughout Southern California.

What differentiates Keith's perspective is his diverse background across multiple sectors of the commercial real estate industry. Prior to forming McKee Commercial, he gained valuable experience in commercial real estate development and commercial lending, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of how properties are financed, developed, leased, operated, and positioned for long term investment success. This broader perspective allows him to approach each property not simply as a real estate asset, but as a business investment with unique financial and operational objectives.

Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance from San Diego State University and is a California Licensed Real Estate Broker (DRE #01892190).

 

Throughout his career, Keith has worked with office buildings, retail centers, mixed-use properties, medical office buildings, industrial assets, and multi-property portfolios. His hands on approach, market knowledge, and commitment to client service have helped property owners improve occupancy, increase revenue, maximize net operating income, and protect long-term asset value.

Unlike many larger firms, Keith remains actively involved in every client relationship. He serves as the primary point of contact for all property owner clients, ensuring direct communication, accountability, and experienced guidance throughout the management, leasing, and ownership process. Clients never find themselves navigating layers of management or being passed between departments when important decisions need to be made.

Today, Keith continues to oversee property operations, leasing strategy, client relationships, and investment advisory services while leading a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and long term results for property owners throughout San Diego County.
